For Guides & Outfitters

What makes a
listing work.

Every listing on Trailstack is reviewed before it goes live. This is what we look for — and what travelers respond to. None of it takes long.

You don't need any of this ready to apply. It's here so you know what's coming.

01

Photos

The single biggest thing separating a listing that books from one that doesn't.

  • Upload 3–5 photos of your experience.
  • Use sharp, well-lit landscape shots — at least 1200×800px. Blurry or dark photos won't convert. Phone photos work great in good light.
  • Your first photo is your cover image — it's the one travelers see while browsing.
02

A real description

Write to someone who has never done this before and is deciding if it's for them.

  • Say what actually happens — where you put in, how long you're out, what the day feels like.
  • Name who it suits. "Good for first-timers and kids over 8" does more work than "fun for all ages".
  • A few honest sentences beat a paragraph of adjectives.
03

A clear price

Travelers filter and compare on price before they read anything else.

  • Set your normal rate and pick the unit that matches how you actually sell — per person, per trip, or per night.
  • Trailstack takes 12% of the booking. Price the way you already do; don't pad it for us.
  • You can set seasonal rates later if peak and off-peak differ.
04

What's included, what to bring

Most pre-booking questions are one of these two, and answering them up front prevents cancellations.

  • List the gear you provide, so nobody assumes they need their own.
  • List what they bring — shoes, layers, a licence if the activity needs one.
  • Being specific here is what stops someone turning up unprepared.
05

Capacity and tags

These decide who finds you and how many you can take.

  • Set the maximum group you can genuinely handle at once.
  • Pick the tags that honestly apply — beginner friendly, family friendly, gear included, scenic, local expert, pet friendly.
  • Tags are how travelers narrow a long list down to the trips that suit them.

Nothing here is a test.

The portal scores your listing against these as you build it and tells you what's missing before you submit. If something needs changing, we say exactly what — we don't reject a listing and leave you guessing.
